Candice Balmaceda

Senior Controller

Candice Balmaceda is the Senior Controller for The Schmidt Family Foundation. Candice brings over two decades of non-profit experience developing and executing on organizational strategy with respect to finance and operations. Prior to joining TSFF, Candice was the VP of Finance at the Humane Society Silicon Valley where was responsible for the organization’s overall financial functions. She was CCO/CFO at Opportunity Fund Northern California (now Accion Opportunity Fund), a non-profit providing microloans to small business owners and helps low-income people build savings for education and unexpected expenses. Candice began her non-profit career at the Community Foundation Silicon Valley and held various positions and was VP of Finance/Controller when the organization merged to become the Silicon Valley Community Foundation in 2007.

She has a bachelor of science in commerce major in accounting from De La Salle University, Manila.
