
Maggie Nyce
Program Manager, Human Rights
Maggie Nyce is a program manager within the Human Rights program, which supports work that is challenging extractive exploitative development in Africa’s energy, mining, and agriculture sectors, and promoting people-centered, equitable, sustainable solutions. Maggie leads the program’s agriculture portfolio, supporting movements for food sovereignty and the amplification of agroecological food and agriculture systems in Africa. She previously worked on programs promoting women’s rights, justice, and accountability related to gender-based violence in DRC, Mali, and Nigeria. She has a bachelor’s degree in Modern Middle East Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and speaks English, French, and Spanish. She currently serves as a co-chair on the Executive Committee of the AgroEcology Fund.
