Portfolio Director, Impact Investing

Aaron Mbati is a Portfolio Director for the Impact Investing program. Aaron has 17+ years of experience as a commercial banker and an impact investing professional. Before joining, Aaron was VP Africa Portfolio for Global Partnerships where he helped establish their Africa office and led a team that grew an impact asset portfolio across 16 African countries within 6.5 years. Prior to that, Aaron spent 9 years working as a Credit and Relationship Manager serving the corporate and business banking client segments for 5 pan African banks including Bank of Africa Group, NCBA and Equity Bank Group.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
